The Day Thread Ranks R.E.M.’s Albums: #9

This is part of a series of mini-reviews of R.E.M.’s studio albums, ranked worst to best. (Don’t worry; I’ll keep them short.)

#9: New Adventures In Hi-Fi.

This record has some of R.E.M.’s greatest work. The only issue I have with it is that it’s too long. The songs tend to blend into each other after a while. But it’s still magnificent.

BEST SONGS: How The West Was Won And Where It Got Us, New Test Leper, E Bow The Letter, Leave, Bittersweet Me, Electrolite

WORST SONGS: None. But they could have cut out a few tracks and I wouldn’t have missed them.

My God, this is just SO GORGEOUS.
