I’ll be honest, I forgot I signed up for this thread – I accidentally picked the wrong date and then kept it. So tonight, it’s the return of a gimmick you people liked before – in-store audio loops!

Tonight, it’s an October 1983 tape from Montgomery Ward, featuring surprisingly good instrumental music and occasional reminders about the appliance sale going on.

The label on the tape seems to get the name of the store wrong – the chain was officially Montgomery Ward, and changed its name to Wards during its dying days, but was never Montgomery Ward’s with an apostrophe as written on this label.
