Because for some inexplicable reason my previous thread of peeling paint photographs was well received, I want to share some more abstract images I’ve taken of nearby rusting fences. These surround Glasgow Cathedral. Fun fact: the green paint which has been revealed as the black flakes away is called Corporation Green and was used to paint municipal furniture like fences and electrical boxes betwixt the Second World War and the dissolution of the Corporation in 1975, when it was replaced by a new governing body called Strathclyde Council. There’s a good 80 years worth of paint being slowly revealed!
