Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is Jane Schoenbrun’s third feature film. A filmmaker and a retired actress bond over their love of slashers. Schoenburn mocks and indulges the fans who overanalyze the genre’s politics. Her characters use the films as a form of sexual therapy. I wasn’t on Schoenbrun’s wavelength, but Gillian Anderson’s performance kept me entertained.
I’m eager to hear what other Avocadoans think of this one. Please share your thoughts below.
