Welp, here it is, the Semi-Finals … and the Final Four are about who everyone expected.

It’s gonna be The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King duking it out for the remainder of the tournament. I dunno what it was, but something about that five-year stretch from 1989 to 1993 caused Disney to pump out eternally-beloved, studio-defining hit after eternally-beloved, studio defining hit (and also The Rescuers Down Under).

Hardly the most surprising set of final matchups – I kinda wish we had at least one dark horse in the mix. But in last round’s final vote tallies, none of the other contenders even came close to these four.

Still, hat’s off to Fantasia, Mulan, Robin Hood, and The Rescuers for making it as far as they did – especially Robin Hood and Rescuers, proving there’s a bigger fandom for 70’s era Disney than I would have thought.

But no more looking to the past! Time to look to the future, and decide which of our four remaining films will go on to the championship match. Votes away!
