It’s time for the second half of Round 2, and if this is anything like the first half, we’re in for some tough matchups.

Tangled put up a formidable fight, but ultimately couldn’t overcome Fantasia, which took the victory 38-to-28.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh but up a similarly impressive (but ultimately futile) showing against the juggernaut that is Beauty and the Beast, which won 49-to-21.

Ditto Lilo & Stich vs. Encanto (with the former winning 41-to-21).

But the closest matchup by far was Mulan vs. Lady and the Tramp. This was an absolute nailbiter – the whole round, these two were never more than a few votes apart, constantly going back and forth for who was in the lead. Only by the slimmest of margins did Mulan eventually pull ahead, 35-to-32.

In all this, though, there was one matchup that wasn’t even close to being close: The Little Mermaid absolutely trounced Zootopia 60-to-7. I mean, yeah, I knew The Little Mermaid was beloved, but I thought Zootopia was also decently beloved – enough to avoid this slaughterfest, at least.

If I could be wrong about that, maybe I’m wrong about the rest of Round 2 being made of tough matchups … but, looking at the lineup, I’m inclined to doubt that.
