  • The cold war in FIFA has not ended with the withdrawal of Gianni Infantino’s “ventures” plan. A number of countries, primarily UEFA powers, have publicly expressed no confidence in Infantino, while other federations like Argentina and Mexico have expressed their support. Personally, I am uncomfortable how much this is coming down to a rich country/poor country divide.
  • Speaking of sports scandals that won’t go away, Pablo Torre came out with further allegations against the LA Clippers and Kawhi Leonard for using hidden sponsorships to circumvent the NBA’s salary cap. The newest revelations involve the Clippers scoreboard manufacturer. As a Raptors fan, I say we blame this all on Steve Ballmer and let Kawhi come back to Toronto already.
