In the early nineties, Paul McCartney ran into Weird Al at an airport and gave him permission to parody one of his songs if he ever wanted to.  A few years later, Al took him up on that and “Chicken Pot Pie” was born.  Don’t remember that song?  Most people wouldn’t, because it was never actually released – as a vegetarian, McCartney wasn’t on board with a song he viewed as condoning eating meat.  While the full version of “Chicken Pot Pie” was never released, the first minute or so did appear in concert during (what else) a medley of food-themed parodies Al used to perform in concert…

On the bright side, we still got one Beatles parody from Al.
