Movieacados! I started writing this header last week and halfway through got distracted by health care related matters and then completely forgot where I intended to go with it. Poof, gone no idea what I had planned beyond the basic concept. Not altogether weird as my brain does not work quite like it used to (I have a term for this but when I say it out loud people often get upset or put off so I am keeping it to myself for the time being).

And then today I had a serious case of the blues, possibly related to the Swiss cheese brain and on-going health care related matters, but as mentioned several times before I am not one to waste an opportunity so today we can talk about sad movies. I love sad movies to the point that I am a sad movie junkie or considered as such by close friends and family. I find they help me put my life in perspective and help me to move through my own personal sadness. And aside from the helping, sad movies elicit the emotion from me big time, and as art is meant to elicit emotions, after the fact I get to savour the engagement in addition to the usual writing, story, character arcs and music etc.

Yes for me sadness is not a negative experience (well, most of the time anyway), and even though I am pretty sure I used this prompt in the past, it is due for an update: What are your favour sad movies/sad movie moments? Possibly more so than usual your responses to this prompt will be a personal one so there really are no wrong answers here, have… um, fun with this one.
