Movieacados! I have had enough of death and hospitals and what not so I am shifting gears and going for more of a seasonally festive atmosphere. Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows… well one of those things for sure and the other two are optional based on comments and answers, but as it is just past the first day of summer I thought we could talk about that… cinematically.

I mean Christmas movies have always been a thing (not technically a season, but seasonally associated), Spring Break, Halloween for Fall here we are at the beginning of summer vacation. We get camps, beaches, pools, amusement/water parks, summer vacation, summer jobs and for in the rare occasion: summer school. There is a lot of possibility in summer movies that actually handle the summer as a subject/setting. And now I am back to writing post surgery with this sentence so I will make an attempt to wrap this up shortly. Summer is a lot of things, sunshine, lollipops and rainbows and everything that is wonderful… no wait that is a song lyric… plus truth be told spring is totally my jam. However spring is not the issue here, summer is so back to summer.
