Jeopardy!

THE COLORS OF MUSIC // MATERIALS // “G”EOGRAPHY // FEELING YOUR OATS // THE BODY NON-HUMAN // FRENCH SCRAMBLE

DD1 – $1,000 – “G”EOGRAPHY – The Gaelic name of this city means “green glen” (Tristan doubled to $3,600.)

Scores at first break: Tristan $3,600, Natalie $800, Bill $4,000.

Scores entering DJ: Tristan $8,000, Natalie $2,000, Bill $4,200.

Double Jeopardy!

PRAY CHIC // FAMOUS PAIRS // 21st CENTURY TV THEME SONG LYRICS // HEY, “MA”! // SHE WALKS IN BEAUTY… // LIKE THE KNIGHT

DD2 – $1,600 – FAMOUS PAIRS – Domenico & Stefano are the first names of this pair who debuted their first collection at Milan Fashion Week in 1985 (With $9,200, Tristan improved by $6,000 vs. $5,800 for Bill.)

DD3 – $1,600 – SHE WALKS IN BEAUTY… – Dante Gabriel Rossetti says of this “witch” whom Adam loved before Eve, “Her enchanted hair was the first gold” (Tristan added $2,000 up to $20,400.)

Tristan found all three DDs and this time got them all right, helping him build a big lead and he was able to maintain the runaway into FJ at $26,400 vs. $10,200 for Bill and $3,200 for Natalie.

Final Jeopardy!

ENERGY – The first power plant using this type of energy was built in Italy, at a site thought to have inspired Dante

Only Bill was correct on FJ. Tristan dropped $3,601 to win with $22,799 for a three-day total of $61,199.

Final scores: Tristan $22,799, Natalie $3,199, Bill $13,800.

Tough category of the day: The players missed three out of five in a category about TV theme lyrics, including “Ted Lasso”, which must have broken the hearts of the writers.

Jeopardy! rule book: “Jell-o” was not an acceptable response for “gelatin”. This is a case where I wouldn’t mind hearing before the ruling, “Could you be less specific?”

Correct Qs: DD1 – What is Glasgow? DD2 – Who are Dolce & Gabbana? DD3 – Who is Lilith? FJ – What is geothermal?
