- Nobody on this thread is more or less a person of color than anyone else. (We will not set clearly delineated boundaries on who qualifies as a ‘person of color.’ As a starting point, this thread uses the definition of ‘non-European heritage of sufficient prominence to affect one’s navigation of a society built on white normativity.’ However, we recognize that there are identities which skirt either side of the divide. If people feel that they meaningfully experience the identity of being a person of color, then they are welcome to participate.)
They say racism is over 🙄… Things are heading in a bad direction. The recent Supreme court decision doesn’t sound like a good thing, to put it mildly.
The problems over here in good ol’ blighty don’t seem too far off the US benchmark either.
It’s like they’re all playing off of a white supremacist/tech bro handbook or something of how to divide and conquer (& most people don’t seem to care)… the amount of immigrant blaming that’s going on…
Even now, I’m still hearing about how Brexit was about uncontrolled immigration… yeah how’s being out of the EU working out with that 🙄.
The UK local elections don’t bode well I think, given how poorly informed so many of the electorate is.
