The 3/17 Hockey Thread Joins the Takeover Tour

Grace Zumwinkle’s two goals, plus one each for Taylor Heise and the sole (purely political) cause of my dislike for an excellent Minnesota team, Britta Curl-Salemme, led the Minnesota Frost to a 4-3 victory over the New York Sirens on Saturday. This game was played in Denver as part of the PWHL “Takeover Tour” which, as I understand it, is basically advertising and/or market testing to try out potential new markets for future PWHL teams. Denver seems like a great option, here’s hoping they go for an expansion team (ideally with a plural team name like the hockey gods and goddesses intended).

The regular-season hockey threads won’t be pinned, so you might want to keep this open in a separate tab if you’d like to keep an eye on it until the next one goes up. (Considering how fast unpinned posts slide down the home page, I’ll probably be slapping up a new one of these every Tuesday and Saturday as long as I remember to do so.) Otherwise, you can always find these under the Sports > Hockey menu at the top of the home page.

Have fun and happy hockey!
