The Night Thread Celebrates The Legend of Zelda

On February 21st, 1986, The Legend of Zelda was released in Japan for the Famicom Disk System.

When looking for a video for the header, there were endless choices. I could have gone with Why Doesn’t Link Dance Any More? or the song Napster was 100% certain was System Of A Down. There’s the commercial with rapping nerds (and an appearance by Nintendo Fun Club, the precursor to Nintendo Power), or the genuinely sweet one with Robin and Zelda Williams that unfortunately hits differently after Robin’s death. There’s also dancing puppets, Rik Mayall, the horrifying CD-i game

But this one feels the most “me”.

If the actor looks or sounds familiar, it’s John Kassir. He’s had a long career with a ton of roles, including Ralph in cult musical Reefer Madness, but he’s easily best known as the voice of the Cryptkeeper.

What, you don’t like my header? Well…

Have fun posting!
