Historical footnote: A clue about TV series “Hogan’s Heroes” expressed surprise that the show’s premise was given the green light, but it wasn’t a completely original idea; it borrowed from the successful early 50s play and movie that also had humorous elements, “Stalag 17”, which resulted in a lawsuit.
