Thank you to everyone who nominated songs for the Chemical Brothers Artist Tournament. In a sense, they were all winners. In a more accurate sense, only a select group of 32 songs (two of which were determined via a tie-breaking round) were the winners. Please upvote your favourites in the comments sections to determine which songs will reach the next round BUT before we do that, I’d like to take a moment to pour one out for some of my favourite Chemical Brothers songs that went unnomitated.

From Push The Button, we have The Big Jump which I assumed was a very popular album track.

The much maligned 2007 album We Are The Night, is unsurprisingly unrepresented in the first round but the underrated album had plenty of worthy candidates. My personal favourite Burst Generator went unnominated. I find it works especially well in tandem with A Modern Midnight Conversation.

Midnight Madness from the 2008 compilation Brotherhood did not inspire Midnight Madness madness despite being one of the highlights from the Electronic Battle Weapon series.

K+D+B has bagpipes. I think that alone makes it the highlight of 2010’s Further but I’m always surprised by how slept on it is.
