Today is Yuki Itose’s (糸瀬雪) birthday! Yuki is the main character of one my favorite manga, A Sign of Affection (ゆびさきと恋々) by suu Morishita (森下suu).

There are a lot of reasons to love this series, but for me it was Yuki that first captured my heart. What I admire most about Yuki is her kindness, courage, and determination. From big things, like going on job interviews,1 to small things, like asking for her crush’s phone number, Yuki faces every challenge head-on. I love that about her. Or you can watch this promotional video from a few years ago (which shows of some of the beautiful art and gives you a sense of Yuki’s perspective in the series). There’s also a really good anime adaptation if you like watching things. But the manga is even better!
