The Black Jack Taco was a Halloween-themed taco released at Taco Bell in 2009. It was made of a “mysterious” black taco shell (which tasted like blue corn chips), and had a special pepper jack sauce. It was really, really good, but alas, it’s nothing but a ghost now, haunting our memories as it was only ever available once.

What truly made it spooky? Well, apparently for some customers (I wasn’t one of them), the Black Jack Taco had an unfortunate, um, side effect. Or rather, to quote the Taco Bell Wiki page directly, it “made waves when it was discovered that it could turn consumer’s poop green, similar to Burger King’s Halloween Whopper in 2015, six years after this taco was released. The black dye is thought to be responsible for the color change.”

So yeah, unfortunately, it’s unlikely we’ll ever get a BJ from the good people at Taco Bell ever again. Sadness. But at least we’ll always have this incredibly weird commercial:
