The Pure Moods CD was a new-age compilation released by Virgin Records in the UK in 1991 (“direct from Europe”) and the US in 1994. An updated version in 1997 featured that purest of moods, The X-Files theme.

Anyhoo, this commercial was omnipresent enough that when Sally Forth name-checked “Tubular Bells” last week it was the first thing I thought of, and now here we are. Enjoying the perfect soundtrack for our way of life.

You know, the unicorns-and-Enya way of life. I can’t think of a better one, honestly.
