The Genet Night Thread

Genets are African viverrids, so related to civets and the mighty binturong. There are 17 species, one of which, the common genet (Genetta genetta), has spread as far southern Europe and the coast of Arabia. It lives in areas of thick vegetation and hunts anything it can get its adorable little paws on. During the day, it finds a hole in a thicket or an oak tree and curls up to sleep.

Do you wish to pet the kitty? Well you can! They make pretty poor pets but that hasn’t stopped people from trying. They live to around 13 in captivity and can be trained to use a litter tray.
