This week’s discussion prompt: Ever completely slept on a song (or even an album) by an artist that you really like?

This week’s prompt was inspired by me finding out just a few weeks ago (courtesy of The Avocado’s very own Pupshaw posting it in the Weekly Shuffle Thread) that Portishead released a standalone single all the way back in 2009 and I had NO IDEA! “Chase the Tear” was released on December 10, 2009 for Human Rights Day to raise money for Amnesty International; granted, it was only released digitally at the time (a 12″ vinyl single was later released in 2011 in a limited edition of 200 copies) but still, given how much I love the rest of the group’s work (precious little of it there is), I was surprised that I had no idea it existed until I saw it in Pupshaw’s playlist!
