The Book Nook is Most Displeased

Welcome to the Book Nook! The weekly thread for all book nerds on The Avocado. This is the place to talk about books you’re currently reading, discuss genres, ask for recommendations, and post serious literary criticism.

This weeks (recycled) prompt: What books have made you angry? We’ve all been there, but the interesting thing is why. Wasted potential, killed a favorite character, sexist/racist/other-ist, bad editing, whiffed the ending? The reasons are endless, so what are some that angried up your blood? Thank you to Group Therapy for writing the original prompt, which I shamelessly copied and pasted, and to lebkuchen, who came up with the idea back in the day.

Suggestions for prompts are always welcome!

Posting pictures is fine as long as they are book related, but I would like this thread to continue to be a NO GIF/YouTube/social media embed zone. Thanks, and happy commenting!
