Superboy made what he thought was the perfect robot double to help with his secret identity and be his shadow self but he made them left handed by mistake and so decided to start over with a new robot.

The robot objects to this and wants to continue existing and asks for a name. Superboy decides that for “being rebellious” than their name shall be Rebello. An S.O.S message from a trapped submarine distracts Superboy and Rebello escapes to prove that they can be a superhero by saving it. Rebello succeeds in freeing the sub but is then unfortunately destroyed by a mine.

Somehow Rebello returned and took Clark Kents identity by posing as him at school. Rebello also figured out how to copy Clark’s handwriting so it will look like right handwriting script even when it’s done with a left hand.

Rebello even convinces Pa Kent that he is the real Clark and stops Superboy from melting him down by revealing that he’s hidden the safe with the valuable specimens

Superboy then convinces Lana that Rebello is the real Superboy and he is the robot version.

They work together fighting monsters and sealing them underground but in the end they both want the other to got back into the Secret Closet for Inactivated Robots

Eventually Superboy tricks Rebello into destroying himself with a super powerful magnet hidden inside a safe that he knew Rebello would try to break on the moon to get rid of the valuable hobby specimens inside.

Rebello hasn’t shown up since but with the ability to self repair they could always come back.
