The first round of Tom Lehrer’s song tournament is upon us. Vote early, vote often.

We’ll leave this round open until Thursday, August 7th, at 8PM EDT (2000 hours).

Also I’ll be doing something a bit different since I know people have busy lives and, even though Lehrer’s songs are so short, may not listen to each entry. However, Tom’s songs really are not often special musically but lyrically so I’ll be including with each entry the lyrics so that, if you want to glance at them and determine which songs that you don’t know, you’ll give a listen to. They’re all pretty darn brief.
