Welcome back to the weekly Tabletop Games thread! This thread is where we can talk about all kinds of RPGs, card games, board games, etc. Whether you gather around a physical table in the real world, or use a virtual space to play with friends who may live far away from you, this is where you can discuss your favorites, ask for and/or receive recommendations, recap your recent adventures, or even find some people to play games with!
Discussion Prompt: Another classic adventure story subgenre is the Heist story. Usually it entails a group of characters being pulled together for some single goal, often involving the theft/recovery of a specific item. Generally each member of the group has a specific skill set and contributes in a specific way, but it’s only through working together that the group finds the right balance to succeed in their mission. Heists can make for great TTRPG adventures, but really thrive when they game system and/or party composition are built for it. A group made up of 5e Paladins might have a rough time. Tell us about heists your gaming group has pulled (or failed to pull)!
If you would like to suggest a prompt or contribute a write-up or discussion topic of your own, let me know in the comments!
