I hear we’re posting Superman content?

It’s a Bird… It’s a Plane… It’s Superman is the one and only Superman musical! Premiering on Broadway in 1966, it received decent reviews but was rejected by audiences, resulting in a run of only four months. In 1975 it was reworked as a TV movie for ABC, and this time both reviewers and audiences hated it. A concert version of the show including Avocado Favorite Richard Kind was staged in 2007, and in 2010 a new version of the show premiered with its book heavily reworked by soon-to-be Archie Comics chief creative officer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

Unfortunately for everyone, the only readily available version is the 70s TV movie. And “readily available” is a stretch, because it’s never been commercially released and is rarely acknowledged by…well, anyone, really. But thanks to the internet, we have bootleg recordings of the original airing, and it’s not like you have anything better to do tonight anyway.
