Optional Discussion Topic: Supplemental Materials

Someone in the OT recently mentioned that they never look at maps included with novels, so I thought I’d ask the writers’ perspectives on this. Do you include things like maps, genealogies, glossaries, appendices? Do you create them but not intend for readers to see them? How much is too much or too little extra stuff?
