- Nobody on this thread is more or less a person of color than anyone else. (We will not set clearly delineated boundaries on who qualifies as a ‘person of color.’ As a starting point, this thread uses the definition of ‘non-European heritage of sufficient prominence to affect one’s navigation of a society built on white normativity.’ However, we recognize that there are identities which skirt either side of the divide. If people feel that they meaningfully experience the identity of being a person of color, then they are welcome to participate.)
The Avocado is primarily a US based website and with a surprising number of Californians. My heart goes out to all the Los Angelenos who are under siege from their own military & police forces. Protecting the gestapo like ICE. Who are for the most part targeting law-abiding immigrants[footnote]those who’ll show up to courthouse, but not the actual “criminals”… why would ICE work hard & do their jobs when its really all about racism (see Jan 6th pardons & White South African welcomings). Not to mention the illegal/barbaric deportations & imprisonments that have occurred so far 😬🤦🏾♀️[/footnote] in a desperate attempt to fill quotas and likely trying to stem the inadequate “men” running the white house & the blowout from Elon & Trump/Stephen Miller fallout!

In a fun little aside, some cool Spanish representation.
Love that they’re is a freedom to speak more Spanish. Honestly it forced me to actually pay more attention. It’s interesting how both phenomenal actors process bilingualism. Not gonna lie, I definitely watched due to Diego & Andor 🤭🖖🏽.
