Finally painting again, but trying to juggle the work with stepping up my storage drive; I made a run out to the unit yesterday evening and will likely do so again this afternoon, increasingly conscious that I’m gonna have to call a hard halt on painting in early July (I’m tentatively moving the first week of August). Hoping to get the vast majority of my “slim-down” done by Bastille Day (it’s weird but strangely affirming how fitting non-American holidays are for scheduling summer activities; Cinco de Mayo happens at the start of the local summer and Bastille Day square in the middle) and just as much to step up the painting in the near-to-medium future in response.

I’ve also been keeping up with my digital and sketching schedules; the former’s proven especially satisfying in having something to do at the laundromat as the light isn’t great for reading (and once I move I can repurpose it for the nearby cafe-bar I look forward to mildly patronizing). The header’s a work in progress done with Autodesk Sketchbook; I’ve been playing with layers and it’s wild to think that I can use this for two (or more!) separate works if I wanted that. Toying with ideas of sentient topiaries and (maybe) cloudforms.
