In 2013, developers Melos Han-Tani and Marina Kittaka of Analgesic Productions released Anodyne, a weird little indie game inspired in part by the older Legend of Zelda games. When I first played last year I was a bit meh on the game itself (I much preferred the sequel, which we’ll get to tonight), but the soundtrack – composed by Han-Tani – was excellent. Frequently surreal and moody, there were many tracks that fit right in with my relaxing VGM playlists. Here are some of my favorites:
