In recent weeks we have seen a big increase in misinformation being posted here, and while we understand that it can sometimes be difficult to parse what’s real and what’s fiction these days, we ask that everyone put in a good faith effort to post news that is factual. With this in mind, we have added a point to our site etiquette.

Verifying Content: In an effort to limit potentially upsetting content and/or amplifying misinformation, we expect a good faith/best effort attempt to post accurate/factual stories. If a story/screenshot/social media post is fake or inaccurate, please post either a correction or context verifying that the story is fake/satirical/inaccurate.

We would also like to remind everyone about Rule #9: egregiously and/or repeatedly ignore the Avocado community etiquette.
