Tommy Oliver was a Teenager With Attitude. He was the first Green Power Ranger,1 selected by the evil space witch Rita Repulsa, who saw his skill at martial arts rivalling the Red Ranger Jason and chose him as her evil Power Ranger, kept enslaved by an evil spell powered by the Sword of Darkness. However, in his alternate universe, he did not leave Rita’s service when the Sword of Darkness was destroyed. Instead, he ran from the Rangers, fearing retribution for the evil deeds he had done while under Rita’s spell. He eventually returns to Rita’s side and takes on the moniker Drakkon,2 named after one of Rita’s past disciples.
Tommy, now Drakkon, manages to defeat the Rangers in battle and subjugate the world in Rita’s name, stealing the Power Coins of the fallen Rangers and using them to empower his armies of Sentries. He defeats Jason one-on-one and steals the new White Tiger powers that Zordon had been preparing, combining them with his own Green Dragon Power Coin. The remaining, depowered Rangers are forced into hiding, forming a resistance known as The Coinless.
Meanwhile, Drakkon contacts the main universe’s version of Rita and attempts to aid her in defeating her version of the Rangers, but these plans eventually lead to his downfall in his own universe when the main universe’s Tommy3 crosses into Drakkon’s world and defeats him. However, Drakkon isn’t one to give up so easily, and manages to return, killing4 Tommy and kicking off a multiversal crossover event in which Drakkon shatters the Morphin’ Grid and launches an assault on every version of the Power Rangers across time and dimensions. He eventually succeeds in remaking reality in his own image, but is defeated once again by Tommy Prime in a battle of wills when Drakkon cannot stomach the fact that out of a multiverse full of Tommys,5 he is the outlier who turned evil.
And so, Drakkon was never seen again, except for the time when he crashed into Earth in a meteor and the other time when he brought a horde of space vampires to Earth6 and the other other time when he formed a team of his own Drakkon Rangers.7
