Company is a musical by Stephen Sondheim about a character named Bobby who must navigate life while learning from the friends who have settled down and wonders if marriage is right.
Company is considered by many to be Sondheim’s first true masterpiece. After starting his career as a lyricist for musicals like West Side Story, Sondheim’s Company provided the world just great his score is. While the musical is just a series of vignettes with no linear plot line, the music become iconic with songs like “Getting Married Today”, “Being Alive”, and “The Ladies Who Lunch”.
