I’d Rather Just Sing! Best Musical Number in a Non-Musical Movie Tournament: Round 2

Moving on to Round 2, but first some stats from the first round of voting.

Highest total upvotes this round went to the “Puttin’ on the Ritz” scene from Young Frankenstein, with 47. Conversely, the lowest total was for the rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner” from Christmas Vacation, which only earned 4 upvotes. That match-up yielded the biggest margin of victory, while the closest match was between the “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” dance from Dirty Dancing and the opening sequence to Austen Powers, with Dirty Dancing ahead by only a single upvote at the time of counting. Among the scenes eliminated in Round 1, the Austen Powers sequence earned the most votes with 25. On the other hand, the “Age of Aquarius” sequence from The 40-Year-Old Virgin was the least popular winner with only 23 votes in total.
