One of my the many ways I like to study Japanese is through music. I find that any time I can combine something I already love with studying I absorb the information much better. If I have a context for something, it tends to stick. So any time I see a music video from an artist I love with official lyric captions, I’m very happy. This means I can use the video to practice listening, reading, AND speaking! Singing counts as speaking, right? Well, anyway, one example of this is the Sakura Fujiwara (藤原さくら) video for the excellent song “My Life” 「わたしのLife」which you should check out even if you’re not studying Japanese! Why? Because Fujiwara’s music is amazing!
