Okay, I am usually way on the ball and do the weekly movie thread prompts up about a week in advance so I can start writing the next one before the current one is published like I am the world’s least effective time traveler. Also due to daylight savings being a thing in my area I will be time traveling this Sunday which is after I write this (if I am on the ball today) so I am double dipping the time travels. But due to some 16 hour work day foolishness I am a little slow this month so I have to simplify ever so slightly.
Luckily movies have me covered. This week sees the release of Black Bag a “gripping spy drama”. I won’t get into two many details other than one spy in a marriage is suspected of treason, leading the spy spouse to question loyalty. I am simplifying here on purpose as I would rather focus on the “gripping spy drama” descriptor as there have been countless movies dealing with intrigue, loyalties, and general spy goodness. I have always liked a good spy movie because I like trying to figure out what is happening before the movie does the eventual reveal. Even better is if the movie is good enough I will not even try to figure it out and just enjoy the ride.

So this weeks prompt is fairly simple, what is your favourite movie dealing with spies, intelligence or anything similar? My answer to this is tough to come up with as there are so many to choose from but I would go with Skyfall. It has everything a great spy movie need. A great story, really great villain, killer theme song, an Aston Martin, well done fight scenes often with really cool visuals involved, a poetry reading in the middle. I generally like Bond films but this one was extra awesome for me to watch.
