Squashies are vaguely rectangular squishy blocks of gelatinous foam that could be multicoloured sugary Soylent tablets. They’re sold in a variety of flavours, including Raspberry & Milk, Banana & Blueberry, Orange & Cherry, Rhubarb & Custard, Bubblegum, and Cherry Cola, and I could be fed them into infinity like Homer being fed donuts in Hell.

Swizzels Matlow Limited itself is based in the Peak District of Derbyshire since the company was relocated out of London during WWII’s Blitz, but they were originally founded by the merging of two family companies in 1928. Mmm, maybe we’ll be getting some centenary sweeties if we can survive just a few more years. The company produces some well known confectioneries including Love Hearts, Drumsticks, Parma Violets and Refreshers.
