Those of you who’d like to post future Creative Endeavors Threads post your request in the comments below. Hey, Kevzero here, I’m an amateur photographer based on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. I mostly take wildlife photos, but have been recently taking pictures of many other things. This week: Diving Birds! One of my favorite action shots of birds are when they are beginning to or in the process of diving into the water. While on the many docks and piers of Cape Cod; one can be standing over the water in the perfect position to capture a bird mid-dive. Cormorants are generally the best for this type of shot; with their jet black feathers contrasting nicely against the blue/green water. While on the beach, one of the best birds to photograph diving are Northern Gannets. It’s not an easy shot as they dive from the sky to grab fish, but if timed right, and with a lot of luck, I can get nice shots of them. Here’s some pictures of a few birds going down into the depths for a bite to eat.
