Werewolf 236: Orphan Black – Signups

It’s late. There are only a few trains left before they stop running. You check your pockets. A few coins. Not enough to pay for fare. Not a problem, you’ll just sneak on without paying; it’s not like they check anyway.

You see a payphone. When’s the last time you saw one of them? You know you shouldn’t. You know they won’t answer. And even if they did, you know she won’t let you talk to her.

“Please insert coins,” reads the small sign over the phone. You comply, and dial the number you only dial when you’re in trouble.

Ring…

Ring…

[click] “Hello?”

A pause. You didn’t expect her to answer.

“S, it’s me.”

“[sigh] Not again. I told you, you can’t see her.”

“I know, I know, just…at least let me talk to her.”

“You know how late it is, right?”

“S, come on.”

“No. If you’re going to be out doing God knows what and not give her the time of day, I won’t let you. You can’t keep hurting her again and again.”

The phone clicks again. You expected this, but deep down you hoped it would’ve been different this time. You sigh, and drop the phone, leaving it dangling on its cord.

“Next train arriving on track 2. Please stand back from the platform edge.”

As you turn towards the train, you see someone else on the platform. Turning towards them, you notice that they seem kind of familiar. In fact, they look almost like you.

No, wait. They look exactly like you.

Both of you have shocked expressions, but unbeknownst to you, the reason for theirs is not the same as yours. And just as you start to process this revelation, your doppelganger jumps off the platform and in front of the train that has pulled in.

There are more questions about…everything now than there were 15 seconds ago. The world has changed for you instantly.

What happens now?
