You are now entering Ad Space, a realm of commercials, brought before us so we might examine how they work, and discuss why we both love and hate them so. So it is written …
The Product:
Salesforce’s “Agentforce” AI (or “AI”)
The Promotion:
The Pitch:
If you, too, are a busy Hollywood movie star, you need Agentforce. Everyone else … eh.
You ever see a commercial and wonder, who is this for? Like, who actually has the problem this product is meant to solve?
There’s a good reason this ad stars famous actors Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson (besides the usual reasons people cast famous actors). ‘Cause celebrities like that are some of the few people who could plausibly say:
“Don’t you hate it when you have a personal stylist choose a new outfit for you, but they don’t know what your tastes are? There has to be some complex AI programming that can fix that. What’s the other option? Talk to the stylist? Pick out my clothes myself? C’mon! We’re not living in the Dark Ages!”
