Hello, and welcome to the music portion of the Pits for 2024! There’s been a lot of good music out there this past year and we want to know what you thought was the best.
These are the categories, copied and pasted from last year (please place each of your respective lists for these in the appropriate subthread):
- Best Album – no reason to over complicate, albums and EPs count
- Best Song
- Best Live Show – physical or live stream, you just need to include the specific artist/band
Based on the dates listed last year, we will include any and all music that was released between December 18, 2023 to December 17, 2024.
Ranked lists will have their #1 choice given 10 points, #2 given 9, and so on up to #10 given 1 point. Your lists can have more than 10 per category, but only the top 10 will be given points. Unranked lists will have each selection given 5 points apiece (only up to 10 per category–please try and refrain from unranked lists of 25+ or whatever unless you are specifying a top 10 among them, otherwise the first 10 choices listed get the points). Ranked lists are preferred in order to crown a winner, but not mandatory.
A reminder: please keep your ballots contained to these posts and not in your own post or in the OT. Any lists made outside of this post will not be counted. You are able to edit your lists as much as you want before the deadline, but all lists must be posted here and finalized by Saturday, December 28 at 12 PM EST.
As well, please be respectful to everyone’s choices. Discussion is welcome, but do not criticize or make fun of anyone else for their selections.
