Are you a Horse Person? Scientific American reports on the domestication of horses. Actually fascinating article!
ProPublica reports on the cancer risks carried by formaldehyde – and ways that industry has pushed back on attempts at regulation. Another report by ProPublica looks at maternal deaths in Texas following the abortion ban, spotlighting the increasing risks for women.
In optimistic news, cervical cancer deaths have declined dramatically since the release of the HPV vaccine. However, those vaccination rates have stagnated since the COVID-19 pandemic. Men, remember you can get the vaccine too!

Next week will mark two years of Cordy-written PT headers. I know many are still taking a politics break, but I did want to put the offer out if anyone wants to carry the torch. Want to be the new Wednesday PT person? Let me know! Just tag me in the comments (@TheSoSoGatsby:disqus) to make sure I see it. Otherwise, I’ll continue reminding everyone to be kind and thoughtful for another year.
Be kind and thoughtful today. Cheers.
