Welcome to the 30 Day challenge of November which is going to be all about Role Playing Games of all shapes and sizes, whether produced in Japan or USA, tactical or real-time and more.
RPGs can be long, long games, and will often use said length to set up whole dang worlds. Sometimes these settings are so interesting that they become the initial hook of the game, with the joy of exploring the world and learning about it as the main driver of the aforementioned RPG length.
And so, the main prompt of the day is: Whats your overall favorite RPG world? Either in terms of the geographical space, or the culture/ideas/history that shape it. And what are your specific favorite/least favorite places?
Bonus prompt: What RPGs does the least with an otherwise interesting world? Any RPG worlds so neat they deserve a sequel to explore them even more?
New Prompt Plus: What RPGs are most marred by dull or uninteresting worlds? What RPGs are most uneven in the appeal of their settings?
Optional Postgame Prompt: Overworld maps and the traversal thereof- yay or nay? Best and worst cases?
