We made it!!! It’s Election day!!!!! Holy shit!!!!!

Things that’ll probably happen:

-We will need several threads today. Mods are discussing having an ‘Election results/discussion’ thread about an hour or so before the first polls close (I think that’s about 5pm EST)?, and then be ready with a ‘new’ one in 3-4ish hours to avoid borking. We will keep the regular PT open, and then a 3rd ‘mental health thread’. So keep an eye out for those.

-Presidential results will (probably) not be finalized tonight. (But if they are, it’s because it’s a blowout and that would be AMAZING)

I said yesterday that I’m “nauseously optimistic.” It’s not over with this election result, even if the votes are tallied. We know the legal fights, and “legal” fights will continue. I will be holding my breath on Jan. 6th, and Jan. 20th. I probably won’t breathe normally until Jan. 21st. And that’s ok. Well, it’s not ok, but it is what it is.

REMEMBER, AS RESULTS COME IN, NO REGION SHAMING. NO THREATENING ANYONE WITH VIOLENCE. I AM NOT BEING CUTE ABOUT THIS. BEHAVE.
