(Also apologies to Malekith the Accursed for hanging him out to dry in the header, but sometimes shorthand is good)
Welcome to another 30 day challenge which in honor of spooky season will cover the topic of Pop Culture Villains!
A good villain can be funny, engaging, terrifying. Potentially the most interesting character. Or they can be a wet fart, overblown, or not much of anything.
And so the main prompt of today is: What are the the just straight up worst villains that just fell completely flat? And why? Is it worse to be boring, nonsensical, overwrought, or something else?
CALL FOR 30DAY CHALLENGE HOSTS: With the month wrapping up and my time/energy getting limited, please state or consider if anyone would like taking over hosting duties for these challenges.
Bonus Prompt: Biggest waste or dropping the ball with could’ve been a good villain?
Maniacal prompt: Biggest gap between how un-intimidating or, uncharismatic or incompetent a villain is vs. how intimidating, charismatic or competent they were intended as?
Machiavellian Prompt: Villains who were a poor fit for their own story, but could’ve worked elsewhere?
