Michael Keaton returns for his fourth outing as host – he previously appeared in 1982, 1992, and 2015, quite a spread! – for what is likely to be the de facto Halloween episode this year. Although I guess he’s nominally here to promote Goodrich, not last month’s legasequel hit Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Billie Eilish is also making her fourth appearance as Musical Guest. Her rotating room performance of “Bad Guy” in 2019 remains one of the most inspired stagings the show has seen in recent years.
