It’s October, time to recommend a scary game! Signalis is a 2022 survival horror game by indie dev rose-engine, available on PS4, Xbox, PC, and Switch.

Signalis is a game best experienced fresh, so to keep things vague, it takes place in a totalitarian future with East German aesthetics, and features a non-linear narrative and a lot of sad android girls and excellent music. Gameplay-wise, it’s sort of like top-down classic Silent Hill or Resident Evil with a heavy PS1 graphical style. Suffice to say, it’s one of the best horror games I’ve played in years, and it’s only 20 bucks, which is a bargain to me.
