Brainscan is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2024.

I remember watching this on cable back in the day and I regularly re-watch it when I see it on Tubi.

Eddie Furlong is Michael Brower, a high school misfit that loves horror movies and videos games. One night, his friend Kyle mentions an ad for Brainscan, a new and immersive video game. Michael ends up getting the first CD Rom disc in the mail, even though he didn’t order it. The line between fantasy and reality starts to blur and Michael gets in over his head the more he plays the game…or is the game playing him?

Also starring Frank Langella and T. Ryder Smith as Trickster, the movie has a killer soundtrack and a plot that will bend your mind into a pretzel.
