Probably my favorite contemporary Classical of All Time, Ryuichi Sakamoto was one of the most influential musicians in the late 20th century. After his breakout as a member of the influential Electronic band Yellow Magic Orchestra, Sakamoto has gain wider acclaim and recognition for his solo work whose discography is a mix of Electronic and Avant Garde music.

Sakamoto has also composed scores films for films like The Last Emperor, The Revenant, and my personally favorite score Merry Christmas, Mr Lawerence, a film he also starred in and also starred David Bowie.
