30 Day Time Travel challenge day 3: The past in the present

Welcome to the challenge of August, which is going to be all about Time; mostly fiction dealing with Time Travel, but also other topics to do with Time, and the manipulation thereof.

Sometimes Time Travel stories are not about going to the past, but about the past finding itself in the present, whether through being unthawed, genetically recreated, or just plain fetched with a time machine. Sometimes this is a freak occurence, othertimes highly deliberate and todays prompt is about your favorite examples of past things showing up in the present?

Bonus Prompt: What was the worst example of this trope? Who took to present day too easily, to a degree where the trope felt wasted?

Extra Bonus Prompt: What do you prefer: Past people being “educated” by modern life, or present day being educated by the perspective of Past Person? Best and worst examples?

Paradox Bonus Prompt: Who or what from the past would you bring to the present, if you could?
